Every day a new video is posted online that depicts irrefutable proof that aliens abducted someone’s grandson, that aliens are playing ping pong on Mars, that ghosts are stealing someone's socks, or that Bigfoot has started following around an OLN camera crew. How times have changed.

I’m James Greenhill, and this website is a way for me to focus my disdain for the new wave of UFO and paranormal sightings. This site contains a blog that touches on the day-to-day media events that are all too funny – A lizard on Mars? Come on – while the rest of the site will focus on explaining the unexplainable.

So let me tell you about myself. I like advertising. I absolutely love it. A well-designed ad or television spot can illicit emotions great movies sometimes fail to achieve. Now, I know what your thinking. What does advertising have to do with the paranormal? Well, let me try to explain…

Advertising, marketing, sales, or any variation of that industry revolves around one thing; someone is trying to implant an idea into someone else’s head – usually ours – in an attempt to sell an item. Think of a shoe brand. Did you think of Nike or Adidas? Now, think of a pop. Did you picture a Coke or Pepsi? A successful marketing campaign can embed an idea into your subconscious, and it burrows deep down making you susceptible to future advertising.

So now think of an alien. Did you picture the prototypical Grey? What about a monster? Did you conjure up images of Bigfoot or the Loch Ness monster? These images, ideas, and stories have imprinted just like a brand does. Grey aliens didn’t just pop out of nowhere, even if some people believe they did. These creatures have effectively been branded into your subconscious - I touch on this when I discuss aliens in the Media & UFOs section. So, you may not think that’s a great connection between the two, and hey, I admit I am not really trying to link them together. I just love advertising, and I love the unknown. The only difference is I left university with a degree that explored marketing and its connection to the mind. I didn’t graduate with a degree in ufology. Not yet anyway.

Another thing you will notice about my site is that I spend most of the time debunking pictures, videos, stories, and legends. This doesn’t make me a non-believer, and no I am not someone who has been sent to mold the minds of the sheeple. I just try to critique the statements, photos, and stories that people share. Instead of defending a story's credibility, I will test its contradictions, its problems, and its failures. When you take a critical approach to something, you add credibility to what then remains. That is why debunking such constant nonsense is important, and why, currently, the paranormal community is faltering. There are too many believers, and not enough critics. Social media, another marketing giant, allows the proliferation of these absurd claims by seeking out like-minded individuals, which help spread these claims like a viral marketing campaign, or worse, a poorly designed meme – a few more marketing connections.

So, go my sheeple, and spread your newfound disbelieving knowledge. Um, I mean… Bahhhh.
